The PGA Tour remains in Hawaii for the second straight weekend, with the Sony Open at the Waialae Country Club on the line. Who will claim victory in Honolulu come Sunday?

Past Major winners who tee off on Thursday include Brian Harman, Keegan Bradley, Lucas Glover, Hideki Matsuyama, Webb Simpson, Zach Johnson and Gary Woodland.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Corey Conners

Corey Conners has been in top form on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour lately, placing T22 at the BMW Championship, T7 at the Procore Championship, T6 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, and T5 at the Sentry last weekend.

Before those results, Conners finished T6 at the RBC Canadian Open, T20 at the Memorial Tournament, T9 at the U.S. Open, T27 at the Travelers Championship, T10 at the Genesis Scottish Open, T25 at the Open Championship, T9 at the Paris Olympics and T50 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

The two-time PGA Tour winner has compiled a solid record at the Sony Open in Hawaii, placing T39 in 2018, T3 in 2019, T12 in 2020, 11th in 2022, T12 in 2023, and T57 in 2024.

Conners has been holding form and has claims for the title at the Waialae Country Club this weekend.

Tom Kim

Tom Kim has gone close to winning another title lately, placing 8th at the Paris Olympics, T50 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, MC at the Shriners Children's Open, 2nd at the Genesis Championship, MC at the Link Hong Kong Open and 2nd at the Hero World Challenge.

Other prominent performances achieved by Tom Kim on the PGA Tour last season include finishing T17 at the WM Phoenix Open, T18 at the RBC Heritage, T4 at the RBC Canadian Open, 2nd at the Travelers Championship and T15 at the Genesis Scottish Open.

The 22-year-old missed the cut at the 2023 Sony Open on debut.

Tom Kim has been knocking hard lately and can make the frame in Honolulu this weekend.

Robert MacIntyre

Robert MacIntyre has been in great touch on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour since September last year, placing T17 at the Tour Championship, T5 at the Amgen Irish Open, T12 at the BMW PGA Championship, T25 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, T19 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, T7 at the DP World Tour Championship and 7th at the Hero World Challenge.

Additional highlights achieved by MacIntyre during 2024 include a victory at the RBC Canadian Open and the Genesis Scottish Open, plus finishing T6 at the Mexico Open, T8 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, T13 at the Myrtle Beach Classic, T8 at the PGA Championship and T7 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

On debut, the Scottish golfer finished T52 overall at the 2024 Sony Open in Hawaii.

MacIntyre will be challenging for the title at the Waialae Country Club if he can replicate his recent performances.

Mackenzie Hughes

Mackenzie Hughes has been in great shape on the PGA Tour lately, placing T4 at the Procore Championship, T8 at the Sanderson Farms Championship, T67 at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, T5 at the RSM Classic and T6 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge.

Other notable results achieved by Hughes last year include finishing T3 at the Valspar Championship, T14 at the Texas Children's Houston Open, T6 at the Wells Fargo Championship, T7 at the RBC Canadian Open, T16 at the Open Championship and T19 at the 3M Open.

The Canadian golfer has made five appearances at the Sony Open, placing T27 in 2017, MC in 2018, MC in 2020, T19 in 2021 and MC in 2023.

Hughes has been playing well lately and could cause an upset victory in Hawaii this weekend.

Verdict

Conners has been in excellent form and will be challenging for the title at the Waialae Country Club come Sunday.

Tom Kim has gone close to winning lately and should enter calculations in Hawaii.

MacIntyre has the form to secure the Sony Open title this weekend.

Hughes can convert his consistent results into a winning performance in Honolulu.
