The PGA Tour and the world's best golfers gather at TPC River Highlands to compete for the title at the Travelers Championship this weekend. Who will emerge victorious in Connecticut come Sunday?

Keegan Bradley returns to defend his title after a three-stroke victory over Zac Blair and Brian Harman in 2023.

Past and present Major winners who will tee off on Thursday include Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Brian Harman, Wyndham Clark, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Jason Day, Matt Fitzpatrick, Lucas Glover, Shane Lowry, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa, Adam Scott and Justin Rose.

These are our four selections that could win the championship this weekend.

Xander Schauffele

Xander Schauffele has finished outside the top ten twice in his previous nine tournaments on the PGA Tour, placing T2 at the Players Championship, T5 at the Valspar Championship and 8th at the Masters.

He was then T18 at the RBC Heritage, T23 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, 2nd at the Wells Fargo Championship, victory at the PGA Championship, T8 at the Memorial Tournament and T7 at the U.S. Open last weekend.

Other prominent performances achieved by Schauffele on the PGA Tour this season include finishing T10 at the Sentry, T3 at the American Express, T9 at the Farmers Insurance Open, T4 at the Genesis Invitational, and T25 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The world's third-ranked player has compiled a solid record at the Travelers Championship, placing T14 in 2017, MC in 2018, T20 in 2020, victory in 2022 and T19 in 2023.

Schauffele has been in tremendous form this year and will have every chance to win at TPC River Highlands for the second time.

Ludvig Aberg

Ludvig Aberg has been in great touch on the PGA Tour since mid-March, placing 8th at the Players Championship, T14 at the Valero Texas Open, 2nd at the Masters, T10 at the RBC Heritage, MC at the PGA Championship, T5 at the Memorial Tournament and T12 at the U.S. Open last weekend.

Before those results, Aberg had been in solid form on the golf course, finishing T47 at the Sentry, T30 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, T9 at the Farmers Insurance Open, 2nd at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, T19 at the Genesis Invitational and T25 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The world's fourth-ranked golfer placed T24 at the 2023 Travelers Championship on debut.

Aberg has done nothing wrong this season and has the form to win the championship in Connecticut this weekend.

Tony Finau

Tony Finau enjoyed solid success during the opening few months of the PGA Tour season, placing T38 at the Sentry, T25 at the American Express, T6 at the Farmers Insurance Open, T47 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, T19 at the Genesis Invitational and T13 at the Mexico Open.

Finau lacked consistency after those results, finishing T45 at the Players Championship, MC at the Valspar Championship, T2 at the Texas Children's Houston Open, T55 at the Masters, T12 at the RBC Heritage and T52 at the Wells Fargo Championship,

However, Finau has been in better shape lately, placing T18 at the PGA Championship, T17 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, T8 at the Memorial Tournament and T3 at the U.S. Open last weekend.

The 34-year-old American golfer has made eight appearances at the Travelers Championship, with results of T25 in 2015, T25 in 2016, T17 in 2017, MC in 2019, MC in 2020, MC in 2021, T13 in 2022 and T45 in 2023.

Finau has not been far off from returning to the winner's circle and will have every chance to lift the trophy in Connecticut come Sunday after his recent displays.

Tommy Fleetwood

Tommy Fleetwood has been playing well lately, placing T7 at the Valero Texas Open, T3 at the Masters, T49 at the RBC Heritage, T13 at the Wells Fargo Championship, T26 at the PGA Championship, T21 at the RBC Canadian Open, T20 at the Memorial Tournament and T16 at the recent U.S. Open.

Other noteworthy results achieved by Fleetwood this year include winning the Dubai Invitational (DP World Tour), finishing T14 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic (DP World Tour), and T10 at the Genesis Invitational.

The world's 13th-ranked golfer has featured three times at the Travelers Championship, finishing T13 in 2019, T46 in 2022 and MC in 2023.

Fleetwood has been thereabouts lately and offers excellent value at TPC River Highlands.

Verdict

Schauffele has been in fine form and has claims for the Travelers Championship.

Aberg has been knocking hard on the PGA Tour this season and is overdue a win.

Finau has been in fine form and will be challenging for the championship at TPC River Highlands this weekend.

Fleetwood has threatened to produce a top result lately and should enter calculations in Connecticut.
