The US Open is the third golf major of the year and takes place at Torrey Pines from June 17-20.

Bryson DeChambeau is the defending champion after winning his first major in 2020 when triumphing at Winged Foot by six shots.

Tiger Woods won the US Open when it was held for the first time at Torrey Pines in 2008, but he will not be teeing it up in California.

Patrick Reed won the 2021 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines this year and is bidding to emulate Woods' feat of winning twice at the venue in the same year.

Seemingly destined to win the Memorial Tournament when leading by six shots after three rounds, the Spaniard was forced to withdraw after testing positive for COVID-19.

Having been a major doubt for the US Open, he has since provided the necessary negative test returns to take his place in California.

Brooks Koepka

Brooks Koepka's last three US Open apperances read: won (2017), won (2018) and finished second (2019), and the four-time major winner has to enter calculations.

He missed the 2020 US Open at Winged Foot due to a knee injury, but reminded us he can contend for majors at last month's PGA Championship.

Only winner Phil Mickelson bettered Koepka as he finished runner-up by two shots at Kiawah Island.

He has finished in the top 7 places in six of his last eight majors and is an attractive each-way price.

Patrick Reed

Patrick Reed recorded a five-shot victory at Torrey Pines in the Farmers Insurance Open earlier this season in January. Can he return to the scene and win again?

Tiger Woods did the double when the US Open was held at Torrey Pines in 2008, so don't rule out Reed this week.

Reed knows how to win a major and also has six career major top 10s to his name including the 2018 US Open. The American should give us a run for our money this week each-way.
