Scottie Scheffler is the short-priced favourite to win The Masters since Tiger Woods in 2013, the bookmakers have revealed.

Scheffler has dominated the PGA Tour over the last 18 months and is going in search of his second green jacket this week.

The bookmakers are backing him to achieve that feat, with Ladbrokes making the American the 7/2 favourite to win the first Major title of the year.

“Scottie Scheffler has played some outstanding golf over the last few years,” said a spokesperson for a leading bookmaker.

“Not since Tiger Woods have we seen this level of domination on the PGA Tour.

“His course record at Augusta is another tick in the box, and although the 7/2 about him winning a second Masters seems short, he’s without doubt the player they’ll all have to beat this week.”

Rory McIlroy is considered his biggest threat at 9/1, with defending champion Jon Rahm 10/1 to win back-to-back Masters titles.

Latest US Masters Odds:

7/2 Scottie Scheffler, 9/1 Rory McIlroy, 10/1 Jon Rahm, 14/1 Brooks Koepka, 14/1 Xander Schauffele, 16/1 Hideki Matsuyama, 18/1 Jordan Spieth, 20/1 Ludvig Aberg, 22/1 Joaquin Niemann, 22/1 Wyndham Clark, 25/1 Bar.
