The Masters 2023 Odds – Bookies report big backing for Rory McIlroy & Scottie Scheffler

- Bookies report sustained support for the two favourites
- McIlroy & Scheffler are 11/2 joint favourites with Coral
Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler have come in for sustained support to win The Masters in recent days, according to the bookmakers.
The golf Major tees off on Thursday, with McIlroy and Scheffler heading up the outright betting.
Bookmaker Coral has seen consistent backing for the pair, and as a result they have cut the pairs odds from 6/1 to 11/2.
Scheffler is bidding to become the first golfer to win back-to-back green jackets since Tiger Woods in 2002, while McIlroy is lookng to become only sixth golfer to complete the career grand slam and win all four of golf's majors.
“Scottie Scheffler has been in incredible form this year, and Rory McIlroy is always popular with patriotic punters,” Coral’s Lewis Knowles told FreeTips. “So it’s no surprise to see plenty of money for them over the last 48 hours.
“The Masters at Augusta is one of the sporting highlights of the whole year, and although the majority of the money has come at the head of the market, it looks a very open contest this year.
“Of the slightly bigger prices, we’ve seen plenty of support for Tony Finau after he was tipped by some shrewd experts, and he’s now 16/1 from 25/1
“There’s also been a bit of each-way support for the 2020 champion Dustin Johnson, who is now available at 20/1.”
