Bookmakers are reporting strong support for Scottie Scheffler to win The Masters for the second time.

Scheffler is the shortest priced favourite for this Major for over 10 years, and that has not stopped punters from backing the world number one for another Masters crown.

He is currently priced at 7/2 to win the tournament with Ladbrokes, and is the best backed player by a long way in the outright market.

“Scottie Scheffler not only looks set to go off as the shortest priced favourite since Tiger Woods at his peak, but he is also proving to be the best backed too, by some distance,” a spokesperson for a leading bookmaker told FreeTips.com.

“Even patriotic punters are ignoring the British players this year in favour of the world number one, and as as the bookmakers are concerned this week, we will be hoping it is anyone but Scheffler who picks up the Green Jacket on Sunday evening.”

Rory McIlroy is the 9/1 second favourite as he bids to complete a career grand slam of Major titles, while Jon Rahm is 12/1 as he seeks back-to-back Masters crowns.
