Nantes needed a win in the final round of the Champions League group stage against Aalborg to finish 2nd. They led 18-14 at half-time but had to settle for a 29-29 draw.

The French side ultimately finished 3rd in Group B with seven wins, three draws, and four defeats. Their away record stood at two wins, one draw, and four losses.

Following the draw with Aalborg, Nantes suffered a 34-28 defeat to PSG in the Starligue but returned to winning ways last weekend with a 30-21 victory over Dunkerque.
