Denmark vs Portugal Predictions

Denmark are unbeaten at world championships since 2017, won three titles in a row and claimed gold medal at the Olympics. They were quite convincing in all seven games so far and I don’t see Portugal doing any better than Brazil in the quarterfinals. I am predicting the Danes to win by at least seven goals difference.

Denmark Form

Denmark remain the main contenders to win the World Championship 2025, having seven victories in seven appearances so far.

The Danes cruised past the group stages, beating Algeria 47-22, Tunisia 32-21 and Italy 39-20.

The reigning world champions also had a 100% win rate in the second phase, earning back to back victories against Germany 40-30, Switzerland 39-28 and the Czech Republic 28-22.

They had no trouble in the quarterfinal, easily dispatching Brazil 33-21 two days ago, Gidsel, Schmidt and Jakobsen scoring six goals each.

Portugal Form

Portugal are having a blast at the World Championship 2025, forcing multiple upsets on their way to the semifinals.

They started the tournament with a 30-21 win against the United States, followed by a 30-26 win over Brazil and favorites Norway 31-28 in Oslo.

Portugal started the second phase with a thrilling 37-37 draw against Sweden, then forced another upset by defeating Spain 35-29. Even though some of the key stars were rested in the final match, they won smoothly against Chile 46-28.

The quarterfinal clash against Germany was quite dramatic, regular time ending in a 26-26 draw, but Portugal winning 31-30 in overtime, Martim Costa scoring the winning goal just a few seconds before the buzzer.

Denmark v Portugal

Portugal are coming off an exhausting match against Germany and they never had any success against Denmark in history. I am backing the Danes to claim a convincing victory and advance to the grand finals.
