Rosehill Racing Preview For February 22 2020

The Autumn Carnival warms up in Australia with the Group Two Hobartville and Group Two Silver Slipper Stakes headlining the Rosehill meeting this Saturday.

The track is currently in the heavy range.

Rosehill NAP: Race 2 No. 1 - Mr Wong @ 2.90

The January 25 victory on resumption at Randwick was a career best performance by this four-year-old son of Mossman.

A lightly raced gelding who's built a solid record to date with three wins and three placings from nine career starts, he sprinted away late for an easy two and a half length victory over the 1100 metres.

He's been kept on the fresh side which could be the key to this galloper who is stepping up to seven furlongs now off the back of a dominant trial win on his home track at Scone on February 11.

Mr Wong appears to handle any surface and with the services of jockey Hugh Bowman from barrier one, he'll go around as our NAP on a competitive meeting from Rosehill.
