Warwick Farm Racing Preview - Godolphin to swim with Knickpoint

The $2 million Inglis Millennium and $1 million Inglis Sprint headline the Warwick Farm meeting from Sydney this Wednesday.

The track is currently in the Heavy 9 range.

Best Warwick Farm Bet: Race 9 No. 6 - Knickpoint @ 2.20

This resuming Godolphin colt was sent for a spell following a failed attempt as favourite over the Melbourne Spring Carnival.

His form prior to that, however was strong where he won a debut maiden attempt back in the winter before a victory in October at Newcastle.

On that occasion, he put a good space on a talented Godolphin stable mate in Palurien who won comfortably at her next outing before a runner-up finish when heading to Melbourne for a listed race.

Both Knickpoint's wins to date have been when fresh and with a heavy track win to his name, can take out the last race at Warwick Farm as our NAP on the program.

Next Best Warwick Farm Bet: Race 3 No. 5 - True Detective @ 4.20

This three-year-old from the Chris Waller stable was terrific on January 25 at Royal Randwick.

Whilst he couldn't match a talented Pandemic over a shorter distance, he did manage the fastest last 200 metres of that race when balancing up and attacking the line late.

He did return this campaign as a gelding following some promising albeit frustrating efforts in previous runs but this leading stable look to have him sorted now.

True Detective will get over more ground as this preparation wears on but a testing six furlongs should suit and we have to respect the Waller yard when the big prize money is on offer.
