We take a look back on a historic Champions Day at Ascot, where Hollie Doyle became the first female jockey to ride a Group One winner in Britain.

Doyle's breakthrough moment came in the Champions Sprint, where Doyle guided Glen Sheil to victory for train Archie Watson. Doyle took out the opening two races on Saturday, powering home on Alan King's Trueshan to win the Long Distance Cup.

Tom Marquand, inspired by his girlfriend's achievements, secured a double of his own. First, riding Addeybb to a brilliant win in the Champion Stakes, before rounding off the card with victory in the Balmoral Handicap aboard Njord for Jessica Harrington.

There were also two big wins for French-trainers on Champions Day. David Menusier celebrated his first Group One win on British soil as Wonderful Tonight won the Fillies' And Mares'. Pierre-Charles Boudot then guided The Revenant to victory in the QEII for Francois Henri-Graffard.
