British Champions Day Results

A sea of stars assembled at Ascot to enjoy British Champions Day 2021, and viewers were treated to a scintillating afternoon of racing. The day kicked off with a cracking renewal of the Long Distance Cup, where Trueshan held off Tashkhan and Stradivarius to retain his crown.

William Buick then rode Creative Force to victory in the Champions Sprint. Hot-favourite Snowfall was then beaten in the Champion Fillies & Mares Stakes, as Jim Crowley claimed a narrow victory on Eshaada.

Palace Pier and Baaeed then engaged in their long-awaited showdown in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, and it was William Haggas' three-year-old who maintain his unbeaten record with an excellent performance.

All eyes were then on Mishriff and Adayar ahead of the Champion Stakes, but it was Cedric Rossi's French raider, Sealiway who held off Dubai Honour to win. Jim Crowley, who had earlier ridden Eshaada and Baaeed, then completed a hat-trick in the colours of the late Sheikh Hamdan by winning the Balmoral Handicap on Aldaary.
