The opening Ballymore Novices' Hurdle often throws up a good novice or two, and Paul Nicholls' Ask For Glory heads the current ante-post betting. The following three-mile novices' chase could see 2020 Northern Trust runner-up, Galvin make his return to Cheltenham, having racked up three victories during the summer months.

On The Slopes tops the market for a fascinating renewal of the October Handicap Chase, where Chris Gordon's six-year-old could square off against Arkle third Rouge Vif, along with recent winners Beat The Judge, Getaway Trump and Scardura.

Promising sorts like Faivoir, Champagnesuperover and Pipesmoker could then clash in the maiden hurdle. Colin Tizzard's expensive recruit, Killer Kane is also entered up in that two-mile novice event.

Fusil Raffles will then bid to continue his unbeaten start over fences in the squareintheair.com Novices' Chase - a race which has thrown up plenty of Graded winner down the years.

Grade One-winning juvenile, Allmankind will make his reappearance in Saturday's opening hurdle, where he could take on Paul Nicholls' duo of Sir Psycho and Strategem. Nicholls also has a strong hand to play in the following novices' chase, where Southfield Stone and Grand Sancy could square off against Mossy Fen and Pileon.

Following a wide-open Pertemps Qualifier, some of the best-staying handicap chasers will lock horns in the feature race of the afternoon. 12 months ago, The Conditional won this handicap before later scoring in the Ultima at the Cheltenham Festival

Former Festival hero, Frodon heads the current betting. The 2019 Ryanair winner would have to give stacks of either away to dangerous challengers like Cogry, West Approach, Shoal Bay and Manofthemountain, if the top-weight does take up his entry.

The card on day two of the Showcase Meeting then closes with a couple of three-miles. First, novice hurdles have the chance to prove their stamina, before amateur jockeys take centre-stage in the handicap chase. The curtain is brought down at Cheltenham with a fascinating bumper, where eye-catching sorts like Animal, Karl Philippe and Smurphy Enki could make an appearance.
