Last year's Derby favourite Sir Dragonet heads the betting at Ladbrokes ahead of Monday's Devoy Stakes at Naas.

Although fixtures in Great Britain were suspended until the end of April because of the coronavirus pandemic, racing in Ireland is going ahead for the time being behind closed doors.

Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) has introduced further restrictions because of coronavirus, including a maximum of one meeting a day.

Monday's meeting is Naas, and Ladbrokes has installed Sir Dragonet as the 11/10 favourite, ahead of Pondus at 4/1 and Brogue at 9/2.

Ladbrokes spokesperson Nicola McGeady told FreeTips.com: "We will be happy to take our fair share on Sir Dragonet at Naas on Monday. It’s his first time back over a sharp trip so we will be competitive."

Monday's card at Naas also includes the Park Express Stakes later in the card, where Even So is the slight favourite at 11/4.

Raven's Cry is 9/2 at time of writing, with Kiss For A Jewel and Lemista both 5/1.

When will UK horse racing start again?

All horse racing in Great Britain was suspended from Wednesday, March 18th because of the coronavirus outbreak.

The suspension lasts until at least the end of April and it is hoped racing will resume in May, although that is yet to be confirmed and the BHA have said the decision will be kept under "constant review" over the next few weeks.

Which horse races are on today?

There is still live horse racing from outside the UK taking place, including in Ireland where it is set to continue behind closed doors despite coronavirus.

When will racing resume in the UK?

British bookmakers Ladbrokes opened a market on Friday, March 20th on when racing will resume under the British Horseracing Authority's jurisdiction. At time of writing it is 6/4 that British racing will resume in May 2020, while the same price applies to June or July 2020.
