Over £1.5m in prize money will be handed out in Meydan on week four of the Dubai World Cup Carnival, with two Group Ones and two Group Twos featuring on an excellent card. The highlight will be global superstar, Romantic Warrior's debut in the UAE, as he carries a short price into the 2025 Jebel Hatta.

3:50pm Meydan - Blue Point Sprint Tips

Following a fantastic effort behind Symbol Of Honour two weeks ago, I'm keen to side with WEST ACRE (3/1). George Scott's youngster pulled clear of the field alongside with favourite that day, and it was only Symbol Of Honour's proven stamina that saw him claim a narrow victory.

Although he didn't wilt much in the closing stages, dropping back down to five furlongs seems smart. Callum Shepherd's mount won both of his starts over the minimum distance in England during the autumn his dam was a speedy six-furlong sprinter. Even after a wide draw in stall nine, West Acre holds the most appeal.

4:25pm Meydan - Al Maktoum Challenge Tips

While last year's winner Kabirkhan is greatly respected, I'm going to bank on the proven class of FACTEUR CHEVAL (6/1). Jerome Reynier's six-year-old is rated 120 on turf, with his biggest win coming at Meydan when claiming a surprise victory in the Dubai Turf back in March.

Mickael Barzalona takes the ride on Facteur Cheval as he moves to dirt for the first time. Ribchester's progeny have a good strike rate on the all-weather and a fast start from stall four should ensure that the kick-back Facteur Cheval receives is minimal. If he takes to the surface well, I doubt you'll find a price as good as 6/1 throughout the rest of the DWCC.

6:10pm Meydan - Al Khail Trophy Tips

King Of Conquest will be looking to avenge his defeat to Epic Poet when the two met on Week 1 of the Dubai World Cup Carnival. David O'Meara's six-year-old got first run on the favourite, and although King Of Conquest flew home to make a race of it, Epic Poet held on quite comfortably.

At an each-way price, I'm going to chance my arm with ONESMOOTHOPERATOR (16/1). Brian Ellison's star enjoyed the best season of his career in 2024, winning the Northumberland Plate in June before earning his spot in the Melbourne Cup field with a thrilling victory in the Geelong Cup.

Ellison's seven-year-old struggled to make inroads from the rear in that huge handicap at Flemington and was well-beaten on his most recent outing at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day. Yet, the make-up of this contest should suit Onesmoothoperator, who likes to be produced late from off the pace.
