One of the biggest horse racing cards in the world takes place on Saturday, as Meydan hosts Dubai World Cup Night 2024.
Five Grade Ones and four Grade Twos feature on this stacked card, with over $30m in prize money on offer throughout the day. Here are our best bets through the card on Dubai World Cup Night.
2024 Dubai World Cup Night Tips - Saturday 30th March
12:05pm Meydan - Godolphin Mile Tips
On ratings, Saudi Crown and Isolate should have this between them. Brad Cox's raider and the defending champion both like to dominate from the front, so there is a chance this race could set up for a closer if the market leaders slit each other's throats from unfavourably wide draws.
I quite like CARAMEL CHIP (33/1), who has been running well over sprinting distances this season. Jose D'Angelo's six-year-old won two allowance races with ease, before keeping on to finish a close fourth in the Listed Pelican Stakes at Tampa last month. Cristian Demuro's mount got caught in traffic that day, but still only finished a neck behind 115-rated favourite Nakatomi - who heads the betting for the Golden Shaheen later on the card.
Caramel Chip should have the cruising speed to keep up with the gallop and there's plenty in his pedigree to suggest that he could see out a mile.
12:40pm Meydan - Dubai Gold Cup Tips
As the betting would suggest, this top-quality renewal of the Gold Cup looks wide open. Tower Of London tops the betting following a superb win in the Red Sea Handicap, where Ryan Moore's mount got up late to deny Enemy and Giavellotto. Classic winner Eldar Eldarov should be in with a shout, and Godolphin is double-handed with Trawlerman and Siskany.
COLTRANE (7/1) has as good a chance as any of those around him in the market. Andrew Balding's seven-year-old always shows good form during the first half of the season and the quick ground out in Dubai will suit. Coltrane - who has won three Graded races and placed in numerous Grade Ones - can run a little keen, but it should be easy for Oisin Murphy to burry his mount away in the pack from stall four. Everything points towards a positive run.

1:15pm Meydan - Al Quoz Sprint Tips
There will be no shortage of early pace in this year's Al Quoz Sprint. Frost At Dawn, Ponntos and dangerous Hong Kong raider, California Spangle will look to go forward from gates one, three and five. Jasper Krone will show early pace from stall nine, as will Emaraaty Ana in ten.
Star Of Mystery will relish a fast early gallop and Frankie Dettori would love to make the headlines in the Godolphin blue once again. Defending champion DANYAH (12/1) is also at his best behind a fast pace and Jim Crowley's mount appeals most at the prices.
Danyah returned an SP of 33/1 when winning this race 12 months ago, where Musabbeh Al Mheiri's seven-year-old used his seven furlong stamina to claim a narrow win. Crowley's mount has run very well twice in defeat this season, losing out to Vafortino in December before a staying-on third behind Mysterious Night in the Al Fahidi Fort. Getting back to the Al Quoz Sprint has clearly been Al Mheiri's plan and Danyah should be able to challenge in any way he likes from stall seven.
1:50pm Meydan - UAE Derby Tips
Forever Young looks a little short in the betting to me. I almost talked myself into an each-way punt on UAE 2000 Guineas winner Mendelssohn Bay. However, 10/1 isn't a particularly appealing price for a place punt and there's nothing at longer odds who stands out. I think I'll be leaving this one alone.
2:25pm Meydan - Golden Shaheen Tips
Again, I haven't got a strong opinion on this open-looking renewal of the Golden Shaheen. At the prices, I do fancy a small each-way bet on DON FRANKIE (25/1) - one of the least fancied Japanese raiders in this contest.
Takashi Saito has tried Don Frankie over seven furlongs and a mile a couple of times, and his five-year-old has failed to see out the trip. On his two starts in six-furlong sprints, Don Frankie has finished a clear second to the classy Remake and bolted up in a Listed contest. Cristian Demuro should be able to get a nice spot from stall three and a low draw is often vital in this fast and furious sprint.

3:10pm Meydan - Dubai Turf Tips
Two horses pique my interest in this brilliant renewal of the Turf. Measured Time has bolted up on his two starts over this course-and-distance and the fact that he's Charlie Appleby's only representative in this Grade One adds further confidence.
Having watched a replay of last year's renewal, I was staggered by the run of DANON BELUGA (9/1). Joao Moreira's mount still sat last turning for home and was forced to weave his way through the field to challenge. As Lord North outmuscled Nations Pride, Danon Beluga came charging home down the outside of the field and got within a length of claiming a stunning victory.
Like last year, Noriyuki Hori's five-year-old hasn't been seen since a midfield finish in the Japan Cup back in November. This nine furlong trip should be much more suitable and if Moreira can navigate a wide draw out in stall ten, Danon Beluga could go one better than 12 months ago.
4:00pm Meydan - Sheema Classic Tips
12 months on from Equinox's stunning victory in this contest, LIBERTY ISLAND (9/4) can help Japan retain the Sheema Classic for a third season in a row.
Mitsumasa Nakauchida's star won the Japanese triple crown in 2023, with her most impressive victory coming over this distance in the Japanese Oaks. Liberty Island then took on Equinox in the Japan Cup, in what was the favourite's final racecourse appearance. Equinox proved too good on the day, but Liberty Island did well to finish second, considering she was keen in the early stages and got caught a little flat-footed turning for home.
I have no doubt that Aidan O'Brien will have Auguste Rodin revved to the max. Emily Upjohn shouldn't be overlooked lightly and Stars On Earth only has a length to find on Liberty Island from their last encounter. However, there's every chance that Nakauchida's filly has improved further for another winter on her back and Liberty Island has to be in with a massive chance in a race where fancied runners tend to thrive.
