We take a look at the Juddmonte International Stakes Odds, where Ghaiyyath is the ante-post favourite.

The opening day of York's Ebor Festival is headlined by the Juddmonte International Stakes. This ten-furlong Group One is one of the most important races of the entire season, and has been won by greats like Dahlia, Sea The Stars and Frankel in it's 40-year history.

Heading the market is Ghaiyyath, who's made all to win the Coronation Cup and the Coral-Eclipse so far this season. Charlie Appleby's gelding became the first horse to beat Enable on British soil since the start of 2017 that day, proving he was just as effective over 10 furlongs as 12.

2020 Juddmonte International Stakes Entrants

Ghaiyyath will face stiff competition from Lord North, who has produced two of the best performances of the season so far. First at Haydock, beating Elarqam in the Brigadier Gerard, before running away with the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.

With stablemate Love likely to take on Enable in the Yorkshire Oaks, Magical could be switched to the Juddmonte International. Aidan O'Brien's mare collected the sixth Group One of her illustrious career in the Tattersalls Gold Cup last time out, and will be gaining weight on the male rivals around her in the market.

Japan could join stablemate Magical in the field. O'Brien's charge won this race 12 months ago, but his form so far this season has been surprisingly poor.

John Gosden could also have two runners in the race, with Lord North's stablemate Mishriff likely to get a run. Mishriff struck in the French Derby when last seen, a performance which certainly warrants a crack at the Juddmonte International.

Sottsass could fly the flag for France in this lucrative Group One. Andre Fabre will be on weather watch, though, as the former French Derby winner really needs a bit of extra juice in the ground.

Kameko could step back up in trip and go for the Juddmonte International, a race which was won by his half-brother Roaring Lion two years ago.

Aspetar cruised to victory in the York Stakes over course-and-distance, and could step up to Group One company.

Thunderous and Highest Ground finished first and second in the recent Dante Stakes at York, and could represent the three-year-old crop.
