One of the world's most famous horse races will take place at Epsom on Saturday, as some of the sport's best colts do battle in the Epsom Derby. This year's Derby remains an open contest, but after events on Epsom Oaks day yesterday, we now have a new joint-favourite for today's main event.

Here's the latest Epsom Derby betting and a look through this year's runners.

Auguste Rodin topped the ante-post Derby betting at the start of the season and remained the market leader following a poor reappearance in the 2000 Guineas.

Aidan O'Brien's star was eventually leapfrogged in the market by Charlie Appleby's Military Order, following his victory in the Lingfield Derby Trial. However, a wave of support came for the former favourite at the start of Derby week and Auguste Rodin is once again the Epsom favourite.

That was until Epsom Oaks day yesterday. Frankie Dettori enjoyed a magical afternoon, riding Emily Upjohn to Coronation Cup glory before collecting his seventh Oaks aboard Soul Sister. After that, punters began to pile into Frankie's final Derby ride, and Arrest was cut into joint-favouritism alongside Auguste Rodin.

Sir Michael Stoute's Passenger sits ahead of both The Foxes and White Birch in the betting, despite finishing third behind his rivals in the Dante Stakes. Jessica Harrington will send Sprewell over from Ireland for the Derby.  Aidan O'Brien's second-string, San Antonio will also fly the flag for Ireland in Saturday's main event at Epsom.

Charlie Johnston will be represented by Group One-winning juvenile Dubai Mile. Other likely Derby runners include Lingfield runner-up Waipiro, Donnacha O'Brien's Alder and another runner for Ballydoyle, Adelaide River.
