French raider Suesa won the King George Stakes

All eyes were on Battaash as Charlie Hills' star sprinter went for a fifth victory in the King George Stakes. The four-time defending champion, however, could only finish sixth on the day, as French raider Suesa came through to beat Dragon Symbol and the staying-on Glass Slippers on her Glorious Goodwood debut.

Performance of the day went to Baaeed, who remained unbeaten after a stunning victory in the Thoroughbred Stakes. Jim Crowley then rode the Juddmonte colours to victory in the Golden Mile, guiding Mark Johnston's Maydanny home.

Richard Johnson celebrated his first Glorious Goodwood win as a trainer when Calling The Wind stormed home to win the Goodwood Handicap. Saeed Bin Suroor got himself on the scoresheet too, as Passion And Glory claimed a narrow victory in the Glorious Stakes.

Tom Dascombe's favourite, Ever Given won the Unibet Bonus Nursery Handicap. The final race on day four, the Australia Handicap went the way of Baaeed trainer William Haggas, as Wink Of An Eye claimed his fourth victory in a row for Her Majesty, The Queen.

There were two big movers in the Ebor Handicap betting on Friday. William Hill cut both Elysian Flame, who stayed on for third in the Goodwood Handicap, and Glorious Stakes runner-up Euchen Glen into 16/1 for the feature handicap at the Ebor Festival.
