The fifth and final card at Glorious Goodwood is headlined by one of the biggest betting races of the season, the Stewards' Cup. This heritage handicap was first held at Goodwood back in 1840 and 28 top-quality sprinters will enter the stalls ahead of this year's renewal.
I've taken a look through the final field for the 2022 Stewards' Cup and highlighted some key recurring trends, before picking out our best Glorious Goodwood day five tips.

2022 Stewards' Cup Trends
- 15 of the last 15 winners had won over six furlongs

2022 Stewards' Cup Tip 1 - Inver Park
The momentum horse in this year's Stewards' Cup is INVER PARK. George Boughey's four-year-old comes into Glorious Goodwood looking to complete a four-timer, having won over six furlongs at Windsor and Hamilton, before an excellent victory in the seven-furlong Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.
The handicapper has responded by upping Inver Park's rating by another four pounds, meaning he's risen from 80 to 98 in the space of three months. Ben Curtis' mount has clocked RPRs of 103 and 105 on his last two starts, which suggests there could still be some wiggle room in his mark.
Boughey has already proved, during his short career, that he's very good at preparing his runners for big Festival targets and this has clearly been the plan since Ascot. I'll have a decent bet on Inver Park at 8/1.
2022 Stewards' Cup Tip 2 - Annaf
A low draw in stall five may not be ideal, but I'm still going to have a bet on the only three-year-old in this year's Stewards' Cup, ANNAF.
Mick Appleby's colt won well on his reappearance in a novice contest at Newcastle and went on to finish a good fourth behind El Cabello and Tiber Flow on All-Weather Finals day. Following a tricky run at Newmarket, where Annaf didn't handle the track, Appleby's charge returned to form with a good third here at Goodwood racecourse over seven furlongs and a four-length defeat behind Harry Three at York, where Annaf was handed a horrible draw in stall one.
Last time out, Annaf made the running in the Chipchase Stakes and only the progressive Sense Of Duty was able to beat him. We've seen three three-year-olds win the Steward's Cup in the last eight years. Who's to say Annaf won't add his name to that list on Saturday?
