Rachael Blackmore become the first female jockey to win the Grand National in 2021, when she steered home Minella Times. The trainer that day was also Henry De Bromhead and the pair will team-up again in 2023 with Ain’t That A Shame.

This 9 year-old managed to claim his first victory over fences at Gowran Park last time out, scoring an easy 6 lengths victor in a 2m4f chase. He’s run well over 3m too in the past, so there is every chance the longer trip of the Grand National will be within range and with just 10st 5lbs in weight has a low burden to carry.

When Blackmore and De Bromhead won the National in 2021, Minella Times had a similar weight (10st 3lbs). Like Minella Times, Ain’t That A Shame is also having his debut run in the race. He's lightly-raced for a 9 year-old (10 career runs), so could have more improvement to come.

Ain’t That A Shame is number 25 and he'll run in the pink and white halved silks with black sleeves and cap.
