Grand National favourite Inothewayurthinkin odds SLASHED to 3/1 after Gold Cup win

After a triumphant win at the Cheltenham Gold Cup, INOTHEWAYURTHINKIN is the 3/1 favorite for the Grand National, aiming for a rare double victory last achieved in 1934.

The Gavin Cromwell-trained seven-year-old was already the 8/1 favourite for this year’s renewal, but after defeating history-chasing Galopin Des Champs on Friday, his odds of becoming just the second horse to win the Gold Cup-Grand National double in the same year were slashed.

If he’s successful, Inothewayurthinkin could become the shortest-priced winner of the Grand National since 1919, when Poethlyn came in at 11/4. The last 3/1 winner was Huntsman in 1862, while Tiger Roll’s 2019 triumph as 4/1 favourite is the shortest-priced success in recent memory.

Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes told Freetips.com: “It’s not just who he beat but how he beat him that’s seen Gold Cup winner Inothewayurthinkin slashed to 3/1 for this year’s Grand National. All eyes now turn to Aintree – will we see a horse win both the Gold Cup and National in the same year for the first time since 1934?”
