The Guineas Festival at Newmarket usually consists of two days, each day headlined by either the 2000 or 1000 Guineas. In 2020, however, the meeting has been expanded to three days, with the Coronation Cup - usually held at Epsom the day before the Derby - taking pride of place in the centre of Friday's card.
One of the most popular festivals throughout the year, the Guineas Festival sees the best three-year-old thoroughbreds from across Europe compete for the riches at Newmarket.
For over two centuries, the best of the best have gathered at Newmarket during the first weekend of May, and any three-year-old who's strong enough to win either of the two Classics will be guaranteed a spot in the history books.

The 2023 Guineas Festival takes place at Newmarket between May 6 and May 7 and includes the 1000 Guineas and 2000 Guineas.
