Galway Festival Day Six Tips - Saturday 30th July

Race 2 - BoyleSports Handicap Hurdle Tips

20/1 is a big price about ILIKEDWAYURTHINKIN, when you take a look through his form book.

Gavin Cromwell's eight-year-old won twice over hurdles at this meeting in 2019 and won a chase here at Galway last autumn. Mark Walsh's mount was narrowly beaten off a similar mark to this on his last start over hurdles at the Grand National Festival, before another runner-up finish to Rock Road - a winner here earlier in the week - over fences at Balinrobe.

Things didn't go to plan at Kilbeggan last time out, but Ilikedwayurthinkin could bounce back to top form on his return to this unique venue.

Race 5 - Nursery Handicap Tips

GOA GAJAH was impressive when winning at Down Royal last time out. Mike Sheehy took the favourite straight to the front and Joseph O'Brien's charge never saw another rival, powering home to win by two-and-a-half lengths.

Sheehy's mount now makes his handicap debut off a workable mark and that three-pound claimer could make all the difference.

Race 6 - Ardilaun Hotel Handicap Tips

18+ only. T&Cs apply. Gamble responsibly.

The entire field for this seven-furlong handicap is separated by just six pounds, so you can throw the weights out of the window!

Colin Keane teams up with his father, Gerard to ride MISS MOLLY T, who's dropped down to an appealing mark. This hold-up horse has travelled with promise a couple of times this season, but has so far been unable to follow it through. If she puts everything together on Saturday, she's handicapped well enough to mount a challenge.

Race 7 - McDonogh Capital Investments Handicap Tips

Kojin E/W5:20pm McDonogh Capital Investments Handicap 1m4fGET 9/1 HERE

Before joining Peter Fahey's stable, KOJIN was competitive in plenty of three-year-old races for Jessica Harrington. Although he failed to win, Kojin was narrowly beaten in handicaps off 70, 75 and 80.

After three terrible runs in maiden hurdles, Kojin returned to the flat with an excellent third at the Curragh last month. The winner that day was Dunum, who followed up at Galway racecourse this week. Sam Ewing's claimer cancelled out three of the four-pound rise that Kojin received for that run, so I wouldn't be surprise to see Fahey's four-year-old run well.
