Victories in the French Guineas, Prix du Jockey Club and the Coral-Eclipse have helped St Mark's Basilica become the joint highest-rated horse in Europe. Aidan O'Brien's three-year-old will attempt to win his fifth Group One on the bounce this weekend, and tops the betting on 6/4 with Paddy Power.

Sitting second we find Tarnawa, who'll be heading for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe after running on Saturday. Dermot Weld's mare triumphed in the Breeders' Cup Turf back in November, and trounced the field on her reappearance in the Ballyroan Stakes last month.

Jim Bolger's 2000 Guineas winner, Poetic Flare could step up beyond the mile for the first time on Saturday. Runaway Juddmonte International winner, Mishriff could make the trip over from England, as could William Haggas' multiple Group One winner, Addeybb.

Aidan O'Brien has handed entries to top fillies like Love, Joan Of Arc and Santa Barbara, as well as Armory and Bolshoi Ballet. Mac Swiney is another possible runner for Jim Bolger, while Joseph O'Brien has seasonal Group One winners State Of Rest and Thundering Nights entered up.

Mohaafeth and Wonderful Tonight could make the journey to Leopardstown. Other possible runners on day one of Irish Champions Weekend include Willie Mullins' True Self, Helvic Dream for Noel Meade, and Jessica Harrington's three-year-old, Cadillac.
