This year's Irish Oaks was looking like a foregone conclusion when Love sat atop the betting. However, Aidan O'Brien blew the race apart when he revealed today that his Epsom Oaks winner would not be making the trip to the Curragh this weekend, with the Yorkshire Oaks next on her agenda.

Replacing Love at the head of the betting is Fancy Blue, despite the fact that Donnacha O'Brien had said his Prix de Diane winner would be heading to Glorious Goodwood for the Nassau Stakes next.

Ballydoyle's squad will be lead by Ennistymon, who stayed on well to finish a distant second to Love in the Epsom Oaks. Passion could join Ennistymon in the field again. Aidan O’Brien has also handed entries to LaburnumSnow and Prose.

Cayenne Pepper looks to real challenger, after running on well for second behind the imperious Magical in the Pretty Polly Stakes. Jessica Harrington’s charge should be suited by this step up in trip and only finished a length behind Love when they met in the Fillies’ Mile last season.

Joseph O’Brien has New York Girl entered, and she will be much more comfortable in with her own sex than she was in the Irish Derby. Ger Lyons could fire three arrows at the Irish Oaks too, with Even So, Lemista and Yaxeni featuring in the current ante-post betting.
