Topping the market we find Contrail, who's enjoyed an unbeaten three-year-old campaign thus far. On his last start, Contrail battled bravely to complete the Triple Crown in the Japanese St Leger, over a trip which seemed a little on the stuff side.
Yoshito Yahagi's star will be much more comfortable back over the Japan Cup distance, and won the Tokyo Yushen here at Tokyo in May. Contrail sits prominently in the betting for the 2021 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, which shows he's a colt with immense quality.

Sakae Kunieda's mare has been beaten in three of her last six starts, but warmed up for a return to the Japan Cup with a narrow win in the Tenno Sho, and will have one final crack at a Grade One before being retired.
