Kensington Racing Tips For 18.03.2020

The Kensington circuit is the inner race course at Royal Randwick in Sydney, Australia and it will host a strong eight race meeting this Wednesday.

The track is currently in the soft 7 range, however fine conditions are expected on race day.

Kensington NAP: Race 1 No. 11 - Fayerra @ $3.10

This two-year-old gets her chance to breakthrough coming all the way back in grade to a midweek maiden after two honest attempts at group two level.

By Valentina and out of a daughter to an AJC Oaks winner in Rose Archway, she's found the last two sprint trips on the sharp side at that stronger level but has still been honest for fourth both times and the step up to seven furlongs now helps.

Last time, she was off-speed in a slowly run Reisling Stakes but certainly wasn't bad behind See You Soon and Dame Giselle, who are two leading chances in the Group One Golden Slipper this Saturday.

The blinkers have now been applied to Fayerra who should position up handier at this level with an important gear change and she will run as our NAP on the Kensington program from Royal Randwick on Wednesday.

Kensington Next Best Bet: Race 4 No. 6 - Zebrowski @ $2.60

The astute Hawkes training operation prepare this son of Savabeel who returned as a gelding to break his maiden status at Newcastle.

It was a better effort than the workman-like performance suggested where he was pulling away safely from Patrina late who franked the form by winning at Hawkesbury on Tuesday.

Going straight to seven furlongs off one trial and carrying 59.5kg to victory on a testing soft track is no easy feat but drops 3kg for the step up in grade here and the extra 150m of this event is an advantage.

The betting is warming to both he and All Time Legend who was brilliant in winning his maiden but drawing to follow him wherever he goes, Zebrowski should get a good look at it late and looks the safer option being already proven on wet ground.
