Kensington Racing Tips For 04.03.2020

The Kensington circuit is the inner race course at Royal Randwick in Sydney, Australia and it will host a strong eight race meeting this Wednesday.

The track is currently in the good range, however there is rain expected on Wednesday in that area, so it'll pay to monitor for any track downgrades.

Kensington NAP: Race 3 No. 4 - Reaching @ 3.60

By the Japanese champion stallion and racehorse Deep Impact and out of the four time group one winning mare Alinghi, this superbly bred filly returned with an eye-catching second over the seven furlongs on this circuit.

Finishing with easily the fastest last 600m of that race (34.22) after getting back and coming from the back of the field, it was a big flashing light run and a performance that indicated the extra 150 metres of this event would be ideal.

The form has already stood up from that maiden event with that winner in Olympic Legend producing a prior runner-up effort to Sea Of Life, a talented young three-year-old who's aiming for three wins in a row later in this program.

Under champion jockey James McDonald who'll be looking to time his run late, Reaching looks ready to breakthrough and will run as our NAP on the Kensington program from Royal Randwick on Wednesday.

Kensington Next Best Bet: Race 5 No. 2 - Hilo @ $2.60

This resuming Godolphin three-year-old brings safely the best form lines for this benchmark line-up.

Now racing as a gelding, Hilo produced immediately last campaign with two victories which included a win over Southbank (Group One Thousand Guineas placed) before attacking Caulfield and Flemington on feature spring days.

Was thereabouts in every performance at the back-end of that preparation with the highlight being a runner-up to Alabama Express (Group One WFA winner this campaign) and was competitive in other attempts.

Both trials leading into this assignment have been very professional and providing he can get through what could likely be wet ground (has already won on a soft track) then Hilo is clearly the one to beat in the fifth from Kensington
