Enable unbeaten run on British soil came to an end in the Coral-Eclipse two weeks ago. John Gosden's filly went into her reappearance as the strong favourite, but try as she might, Enable failed to reel in Ghaiyyath, who made all to win in convincing fashion.
John Gosden confessed it has been more difficult to get his star mare fit, coming into her six-year-old season, and was confident she would come on for the outing.
Enable won the King George as a three-year-old, and again in 2019, having missed the 2018 renewal through injury. The two-time Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner is the strong favourite to claim her third King George, with William Hill going as short as 6/4.

Ghaiyyath sits second in the betting, but connections have already said the Juddmonte International Stakes at York will be his next target. Epsom Oaks winner Love also sits prominently in the market, despite Aidan O'Brien announcing his filly will next be seen in the Yorkshire Oaks.
O'Brien does have multiple Group One winner Magical in the mix, and she will be gunning for revenge, having finished behind Enable on five occasions during her illustrious career. Japan could also step up to 12 furlongs in the King George, having finished fourth and third over shorter trips at Royal Ascot and Sandown.
Serpentine has been handed an entry for the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes, but I'd be surprised if the surprise Derby winner was to be turned out again so quickly.
English King was the beaten favourite behind Serpentine at Epsom, but Ed Walker has handed his start an entry in the King George and he'd be gaining plenty of weight from his older rivals.
Stradivarius has been given the King George option, despite the Goodwood Cup coming just three days later.
It would be wonderful to see Arc-third and former French Derby winner, Sottsass make the trip over to England for the King George. Manuela De Vega is another possible entrant, but the weather forecast over the next two weeks is mainly dry and fairly warm, so I doubt either will get the soft ground they crave.
John Gosden has never been scared of pitching some of his other horses in with Enable, so Hardwicke Stakes winner, Fanny Logan could well take up her entry. Sir Dragonet and Anthony Van Dyck are other possible runners for Ballydoyle, with Defoe, Deirdre and Elarqam also entered to take part.
