State Man won the Matheson Hurdle for Willie Mullins
Shewearsitwell, Gaillard Du Mesnil and Green Glory also claimed ITV victories

Willie Mullins took his tally for the Leopardstown Christmas Festival to 13, as Ireland's Champion Trainer saddled a treble on the fourth and final afternoon. The highlight of the day saw Mullins saddle a 1-2-3, as State Man saw off Vauban and Sharjah to win the Matheson Hurdle.

Gaillard Du Mesnil broke his duck over fences by winning a messy renewal of the Neville Hotels Novices' Chase. Mullins won the first Graded race on the card too, as Shewearsitwell saw off Queens Brook in the Grade 3 Mares Hurdle.

Two touches were landed at Leopardstown on Thursday. Well-backed favourite Seddon bolted up in the opening handicap chase for John McConnell, before Charles Byrnes' favourite Green Glory rewarded backers with victory in the Handicap Hurdle.

Barry Connell celebrated another big festival winner as Good Land beat some classy rivals in the maiden hurdle. The card-closing bumper was also won by a Mullins, but this time it was Thomas Mullins who was celebrating, as Fascile Mode came out on top.

Following the Matheson Hurdle, State Man was cut into second-favouritism for the Champion Hurdle by Unibet. Gaillard Du Mesnil was cut into 6/1 favouritism for the Brown Advisory Chase, with Shewearsitwell recieving fresh odds of 8/1 for the 2023 Mares' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.
