The Kennedy Mile is one of the toughest races to win during the carnival and a full field of 20 runners have been accepted for the $1 million contest.

Our great tipping day on Derby Day continued when "best roughie" Best of Days scored at double-figure odds. This is what we said about the James Cummings-trained import.

"Scored a dead-heat win at Caulfield last start and although we expected him to score a little easier, the European import has plenty of upside and some things in his favour here.

He runs with only 52kg on his back and getting the inside draw could see him sit just behind the speed and get a nice drag into the race. Craig Williams is a big race rider and he's a value chance at 12.00."

He rose through the grades and scored a brilliant Group 1 win to frank the international form some more.
