2020 will see the second running of the Pegasus World Cup Turf, which enables horses from the likes of Japan, Europe, Australasia and the US to take part on the grass surface.

The Pegasus World Cup has been running for three years with moderate success but the Turf could be a grand battle between the Japanese-trained runners, which failed to make an impression in 2019.

It wasn't the Japanese runners that dominated on the slop at Gulfstream Park, it was instead local chance Bricks And Mortar, which we labelled as our best roughie tip.

It was only his second start in 14 months but the Chad Brown-trained runner was too slick for his rivals. Here's what we said about his chances.

"Although his price might not reflect a "roughie" chance, Bricks And Mortar will likely drift with bookmakers closer to race time. The Chad Brown-trained local put four wins together to start his career before running into some smart types.

He ran third in the Group 3 Saranac before meeting Yoshida in the Hill Prince Stakes where he finished well behind the Japanese runner.

He could turn the tables around but we're picking that Bricks And Mortar will be a better place bet against this level of opposition."
