2019 W. L. McKnight Handicap Result

Zulu Alpha looked the top dog in the race and that proved to be correct. The son of Street Cry scored over Soglio and Hunting Horn - here's what we said about the winner.

"Zulu Alpha is a six-year-old gelding for trainer Michael Maker, which didn't fire in behind Glorious Empire in the Fort Lauderdale Stakes last start, but his form prior would take him close to winning this.

The Irish-bred son of Street Cry scored a terrific win in the Sycamore Stakes at Keeneland when defeating his rivals by two lengths, including the talented Arklow.

He rarely runs as a well-favoured runner and he has started at odds of 91.00 and 56.00 in two starts last year, but he's a more mature type now and he should prove tough to hold out."
