Following on from the colts on Saturday, Sunday's main event will see some of the most talented fillies in the sport go toe-to-toe in the 1000 Guineas. This historic Classic has been won by many legendary names down the years and 22 fillies remain in the running for this year's renewal.

Since taking over the license from his father the year after Sky Lantern's victory in 2013, Richard Hannon Jnr's record in the 1000 Guineas is strong.
Billeson Brook returned a price of 66/1 when she triumphed in 2018. From his other eight runners, Hannon has saddled second, third and fourth-placed finishers, with only two finishing outside the first seven.
After two seasons without a runner, MAMMAS GIRL will fly the flag for the Hannons in this year's renewal and Kevin Stott's mount looks to be in with a serious chance.
Mammas Girl is two-from-two during her short career, with both victories coming on the Rowley Mile. Hannon's filly struck on debut in a decent maiden last October and flew home from well off the pace to claim an impressive victory in the Nell Gwyn Stakes on her seasonal reappearance.
Paddock watchers remarked how well they thought Mammas Girl would come on for that outing, so it was slightly surprising to see Hannon's star claim such an emphatic victory. Simply on pedigree, it would be a stretch for this daughter of Havana Grey to see out a mile. Yet, in both of her previous starts over seven furlongs, Mammas Girl has done her best work upon meeting the rising ground. It's clear that Kevin Stott's mount has the ability to win at the highest level.

Of those sitting at each-way prices in the 1000 Guineas betting, the only one that really appeals to me is MAWJ. Saeed bin Suroor's filly enjoyed a consistent juvenile campaign at the highest level, winning the Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes at the July Meeting, while also placing in the Albany, Lowther and Cheveley Park Stakes.
Mawj spent her winter running in Meydan, holding on to repel Dream Of Love to win the Jumeirah Fillies Classic on unsuitably soft ground. Bin Suroor's filly then produced a career-best performance on her first start over a mile in the Jumeriah Fillies Guineas, where she made all the running and thrashed a decent field by eight lengths.
Unlike many of her rivals in this race, Mawj is proven over a mile and will relish the quickening ground. Oisin Murphy comes in for the ride and I wouldn't be surprised to see Mawj run another mighty race.
