ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 4th September

Race 1 - Superior Mile Tips

With known front-runner Artistic Riffles and the keen-going Maydanny in the field, this race should set up perfectly for LORD GLITTERS.

David O'Meara's stable star, who landed Group One honours out in Dubai earlier this year, ran on from the rear to finish ahead of My Oberon and Bell Rock as Real World won the Strensall Stakes last time out. Lord Glitters will relish the quick ground at Haydock this weekend, and Danny Tudhope will fancy his chances.

Race 2 - Sirenia Stakes Tips

WINGS OF WAR was my selection in the Premier Yearling Stakes at York last time out. Despite seeming to give Adam Kirby a fairly uncomfortable ride, Clive Cox's juvenile was there to fight out the finish, placing a close third behind Ever Given.

That was another step in the right direction for this talented son of Dark Angel. I'm sure he will improve again for that outing and Hector Crouch, who rode Wings Of War to victory at Nottingham in July, returns to the saddle.

Race 3 - Betfair Handicap Tips

Although the Melrose winner, Valley Forge is hard to oppose, VINO VICTRIX is the one I would rather side with. Hughie Morrison's three-year-old ground out an excellent win at Sandown on his first start over 14 furlongs, beating St Leger entry Classic Lord and future two-time winner Dancing Harry quite comfortably.

Vino Victrix then followed up over two miles at Kempton, carrying 9-5 to victory in good style once again. Morrison's colt has only been put up four pounds for that success and remains open to further progression.

Race 4 - September Stakes Tips

I'm in no rush to take on HUKUM, who looks a class above the competition in this Group Three. Owen Burrow's stable star ran out a comfortable winner of the Geoffrey Freer Stakes three weeks ago, and he has winning form on the polytrack here at Kempton. Even under a three-pound penalty, I can't see Hukum getting beaten.

Race 5 - Old Borough Cup Tips

I haven't really got a strong opinion on this handicap. Global Storm is the clear class angle and the consistent RAJINSKY could run well at a half-decent each-way price. I'll probably sidestep this one.

Race 6 - Lavazza Stakes Tips

Irish Legend E/W3:10pm Ascot Lavazza Stakes (Heritage Handicap) 1m4fGET 8/1 HERE
18+ only. BetVictor is licensed and regulated as an online gaming operator in Great Britain, Ireland and Gibraltar. Gamble responsibly. Terms and Conditions apply.

Another hugely competitive handicap, but I do fancy an each-way punt on the consistent IRISH LEGEND. Hugo Palmer's charge hasn't won in four starts, but he did place third behind Foxes Tales in the Golden Gates Handicap at Royal Ascot and recovered to finish fourth behind Nagano after a very slow start at Glorious Goodwood.

After a gelding operation, Irish Legend was backed into 6/5 to win a classy race at Kempton last time out. Although he came up a head short on the day, I thought Irish Legend ran really well and stepping back up to 12 furlongs will suit.

Race 7 - Sprint Cup Tips

Race 8 - Lighthouse Club Handicap Tips

CLIFFS OF CAPRI boasts an excellent record over course-and-distance. Jamie Osbourne's seven-year-old has won two of his seven starts, placing on four of the other five occasions.

Dougie Costello's mount may have finished near the rear on his last start at York, but Cliffs Of Capri was only beaten four lengths and he's much more effective over seven furlongs than a mile. He can go close in Saturday's finale.
