The 2025 flat season begins officially at Doncaster on Saturday, where the historic Lincoln Handicap headlines an excellent card. ITV Racing will be showing five races live from Doncaster, along with a trio of races from the all-weather track at Kempton.

Here are my best betting tips for Saturday's ITV races at Doncaster and Kempton.

ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 29th March

1:15pm Doncaster - Brocklesby Stakes Tips

The Brockelsby usually goes the way of one of the fancied runners, so the money that's arrived for Norman's Cry and Kamakameleon has to be respected. Yet, the last two winners have returned SPs of 10/1 and 16/1, and some longer-odds runners usually hit the frame.

I'm going to take a punt on ALKUWARRIOR (66/1), who'll be the first Brocklesby runner for Des Donovan and the first runner for first season sire, Alkumait. Alkumait won the Mill Reef during his brief career on the track and the dam has produced two winners - one of which won on their first start. Course regular Tom Eaves takes the ride on Donovan's newcomer. Hopefully they'll go well.

1:50pm Doncaster - Spring Mile Handicap Tips

Four and five-year-olds have an excellent record in this competitive handicap and all the pace seems to have been drawn down the centre here - those drawn on either side could face difficulties. One who fits the profile is DEBORA'S DREAM (12/1), who is yet to run on his preferred good ground since joining Jennie Candlish.

Debora's Dream won twice on quick ground for Roger Varian last summer, before an autumn move to Candlish's yard. Soft ground blunted his speed in his two starts around Redcar in the autumn and Colin Keane could only guide Deborah's Dream to fourth on his surprise trip to Dundalk in November.

Candlish has had her recruit gelded since that Irish expedition. Dropping back to a mile should suit Debora's Dream too, especially on nice spring ground.

2:05pm Kempton - Queen's Prize Handicap Tips

All-weather racing isn't my cup of coffee and I haven't followed any of this series during the winter. I'm happy to leave this one alone.

2:25pm Doncaster - Cammidge Trophy Tips

MARSHMAN (7/2) returns to Doncaster on a redemption mission, having been touched off in this race 12 months ago. Karl Burke's sprinter looked to have that race sewn up, until future Group One winner Montassib flew home late to snatch an unlikely victory.

Clifford Lee's mount has been in cracking form during the all-weather season, winning two of his three starts. Marshman couldn't quite reel in Clarendon House on his most recent outing in the Hever Stakes, but still registered his third 110+ RPR of the year.

Marshman has a fitness edge over many of his rivals, most of whom would probably prefer the ground to be a little softer. Being drawn in stall four should be ideal. I'm expecting Marshman to challenge once again.

2:40pm Kempton - Rosebery Handicap Tips

I wasn't going to have a bet in this race either, until I saw KILLYBEGS WARRIOR (25/1) sitting down at 25/1. Pat Cosgrave's mount almost made all on his reappearance in this race 12 months ago, but was passed by Cemhaan under the shadow of the post.

Killybegs Warrior has now failed to win in his last 19 starts, but returns to Kempton rated 11 pounds lower than last year and went close a couple of times for George Baker out in Bahrain this year. He could hit the frame again at a big price.

3:00pm Doncaster - Doncaster Mile Stakes Tips

Charyn used this Listed race as a springboard to become the best miler around last year, something Liberty Lane and Dancing Gemini will be hoping to emulate. Yet, there is a chance that POINT LYNAS (8/1) could get lose on the front end and he's extremely hard to peg back on a going day.

Ed Bethell's front-runner struck in a handicap at York on his reappearance last season. After a couple of underwhelming runs, Point Lynas put the field to the sword with a runaway success in the Pomfret Stakes at Pontefract at the end of July.

Callum Rodriguez travelled over to Doha to ride Point Lynas on his comeback run last month and only General Panic was able to pass him late on. Bethell's six-year-old shouldn't have too much competition for the lead and Point Lynas is extremely dangerous when allowed to dominate.

3:15pm Kempton - Snowdrop Fillies' Stakes Tips

Soprano brings genuine Group One form into this Listed race and it's hard to see how William Buick's mount gets beaten. However, 8/11 isn't a price I'm willing to take and - with the exception of Shuwari, who was a precocious juvenile in 2023 but hasn't run for 533 days - none of the other runners hold any appeal.
