The Dante Meeting comes to a close at York on Friday. ITV Racing viewers will enjoy five races live from the Knavesmire, including an excellent renewal of the Yorkshire Cup and two Listed races for fillies.

Here are my best betting tips for Friday's ITV races.

ITV Racing Tips - Friday 17th May

2:15pm York - Marygate Fillies' Stakes Tips

Karl Burke has won the last two renewals of this Listed contest and runs three in Friday's renewal. The least-fancied of Burke's trio is INVINCIBLE ANNICE (20/1), and I'm surprised to see her languishing amongst the 20/1 shots.

Burke's newcomer opened as an odds-on favourite to win on debut at Pontefract. Invincible Annice drifted out to 6/5 when the rain came and was beaten into second, having looked green and wandered off the straight and narrow when she came under pressure.

The winner that day, Francisco's Piece was only beaten a short-head by Shadown Army in the £21k conditions race here on day one, so the form of that Pontefract maiden looks strong. Nicer ground on Friday should suit this daughter of Invincible Spirit, who seems to have been overlooked in the market.

2:45pm York - Knights Solicitors Handicap Tips

I've got both Majestic and Theoryofeverything down as big handicap winners at some stage this season, but I'm not sure either is well suited by this extended 10-and-a-half-furlong trip. BOTANICAL (10/3) certainly is, and I'm excited to see what Roger Varian's rising star will produce on his seasonal reappearance.

James Doyle's mount bolted up on his final start at Hamilton last term, thrashing this year's Lincoln winner, Mr Professor and several other classy rivals by six easy lengths. Botanical - who was narrowly beaten in a maiden by now 116-rated Measured Time at Kempton in August - ran up to an RPR of 107 that day and makes his reappearance off an official rating of 97. The ground at York should be softer than what forced him to miss Chester last week. He's certainly got a favourite's chance.

3:15pm York - Michael Seeley Memorial Fillies' Stakes Tips

I'm siding with the Sheikh Mohammed Obaid colours in this race too, as BOLSENA (9/1) really impressed me when winning at Newmarket during the Craven Meeting. Kevin Ryan's filly was still searching for her first win when she entered that maiden, having run twice on unsuitably soft ground as a juvenile, before a fairly tame effort on her reappearance at Newcastle.

Ryan Moore's mount travelled powerfully into that contest. Coming out of the dip, Bolsena pressed on for home and put three lengths between herself and the chasing pack on the uphill run to the line. The time Ryan's filly set in that contest looked good and powerful travellers are usually suited by the Knavesmire.

All eight of her half-siblings reached triple-figure marks during their three-year-old campaigns - including former Queen Anne winner Triple Time - so I'd be disappointed if Bolsena didn't improve again for that taking victory on the Rowley Mile.

4:15pm York - Darley Novice Stakes Tips

First Conquest beat Lead Artist by a nostril when they met in the Wood Ditton, but the winner that day has to give Friday's favourite six pounds on this occasion. Under Seige ran well behind Economics on debut at Newbury and I wouldn't be surprised to see Dark Tornado run well on his first outing for James Horton. I'll leave this one alone.
