Sunday's card at Newmarket is headlined by the first fillies' Classic of the flat season, the 1000 Guineas. Along with this historic Group One, ITV Racing will be showing three classy contests from flat racing HQ and one race apiece from Salisbury and Hamilton.
Here are my best betting tips for Sunday's ITV races at Newmarket, Salisbury and Hamilton.

1000 Guineas day begins with a key trial for the Epsom Oaks. Most of the runners in this Listed contest are entered at Epsom, including QILIN QUEEN (14/1), who can be backed at a tasty price.
Following a solid third on debut at Newbury, Ed Walker's filly saw off Ralph Beckett and Aidan O'Brien runners to score at Salisbury in August. Qilin Queen then placed second behind Luther in the Ascendent Stakes at Haydock, where the 40/1 outsider ran keen at the rear but finished her race well.
Walker's filly is by Pinatubo, who enjoyed an excellent first season as a sire in 2024, and she's out of a Sea The Stars mare who raced over a mile-and-a-half during her short career. Qilin Queen is well-bred, her juvenile form is strong and she looks to have an excellent attitude. William Buick's presence in the saddle gives her chances a boost too.

2:20pm Newmarket - Dahlia Stakes Tips
A fascintating renewal of this Group Two could go the way of last year's 1000 Guineas heroine, ELMALKA (5/2). Roger Varian's filly went into that Classic as a 28/1 outsider, but flew home best of all to defeat Porta Fortuna and claim a shock Group One success.
Elmalka finished a one-paced fourth on her final three outings of the season, but still ran creditable enough races in the Coronation Stakes, the Nassau and the Sun Chariot. In his pre-season stable tour, Varian was delighted with the way his Classic winner had developed over the winter and seemed certain she'd win another top race in 2025. This Grade Two could be a stepping stone to more big-race success for Elmalka.

2:35pm Hamilton - Buttonhook Handicap Tips
Over to Hamilton now, where I fancy ARRANGE (4/1) will do the business in this 13-furlong handicap. Martin Todhunter's grey has won over a variety of trips during his career, with his most recent triumph coming over two miles at Haydock back in August.
Arrange then finished second to the impressive Gibside on his final outing of 2024 at York, and ran a lovely race on his comeback at Thirsk in April, where he finished third behind the two market principals. David Nolan's mount has run plenty of encouraging races at this track and should strip fitter for that return to action three weeks ago. Hopefully stall one doesn't pose too much of a problem.
2:55pm Newmarket - Betfred Handicap Tips
STORY HORSE (14/1) ran in both the Cesarewitch Trial and the big race itself on the Rowley Mile last term. William Knight's five-year-old hit the front in the trial with three furlongs to travel, only to fade back to fifth on the run to the line, and failed to see out the trip again when finishing out the back in the Cesarewitch.
Prior to those efforts over 2m2f, Story Horse had been progressing nicely over slightly shorter trips. Knight's gelding won handicaps at Lingfield and Haydock, before a decent fourth in the Racing League fixture at Windsor and a neck defeat to the classy Pappano at Southwell.
Story Horse ran well to be placed on his comeback at Southwell, where he finished a close second behind the hugely progressive Caballo De Mar, who bolted up in a valuable two-mile handicap next time out. Story Horse remains well-handicapped and handled the Rowley Mile in the Cesarewitch Trial. He offers plenty of value over this more suitable trip.
