ITV Racing Tips - Sunday 25th July

Race 1 - Newcomers' Maiden Stakes Tips

Karl Burke has had three juvenile winners in the last four days and SHERDIL can make a winning debut here. Burke's newcomer is by a strong sire in Dandy Man and out of a Dark Angel filly. Although she was a middle-distance runner, there's plenty of pace in Sherdil's pedigree and he should be ready to strike first time out.

Race 2 - Pomfret Stakes Tips

It's hard to side against REGAL REALITY, who drops down below Group level for the first time since his three-year-old reappearance. Sir Michael Stoute's charge is a two-time Group Three winner, and didn't run badly when a three-length sixth behind Tilsit in the Group Two Summer Mile last time out. He should take the power of beating.

Race 3 - Apprentice Training Series Handicap Tips

Having run well on his handicap debut at Ayr, NOBLE CRUSADE claimed victory over this trip at Carlisle, winning by a length without fully exerting himself. Saffie Osbourne has been riding really well this season, and she will fancy her chances after her mount was only upped a measly three-pounds for what looked a cosy victory.

Race 4 - Nursery Handicap Tips

I'm going to place my faith in Karl Burke again and back COME QUICK, who's been unlucky to run into some good sorts this season.

Having finished third behind Royal Ascot winner Perfect Power and the talented Qipao, Sam James' mount looked on-course to win at Carlisle last time out, only to get run down in the final 100 yards and finish third. Dropping back to the minimum distance seems a smart move and he's drawn well down in stall three.

Race 5 - Sprint Handicap Tips

PRIMO'S COMET has won four times on turf in 30 starts, and all of those wins have come here at Musselburgh. Jim Goldie's six-year-old has won two of his last three starts, beating the classy Mid Winster in April before a comfortable victory over Economic Crisis last time out.

Paul Mulrennan's mark is up to 73, but Primo's Comet won off higher marks during his career and he appeals each-way in this wide-open sprint.

Race 6 - Fillies' Handicap Tips

RISING STAR ran a cracking race at Newmarket last time out, finishing second in a Class Two Fillies race over seven furlongs. Marco Botti's filly ran up to an RPR of 91 that day, and the handicapper has refused to up her rating.

Although she's yet to win on turf, Rising Star is two-from-two on the all-weather, so she clearly knows how to win when given the opportunity, and this looks to be an excellent one.

Race 7 - Sunday Series Handicap Tips

I quite fancy the chances of PRAXEOLOGY, who's already won twice this season for David Loughnane. Both of those victories have come on turning tracks at Southwell and Chester, so I fancy Jack Mitchell's mount will relish his first start here at Musselburgh and given a clean break, he could be hard to peg back. 8/1 is a nice each-way price.

Race 8 - Sunday Series Stayers Handicap Tips

WISE EAGLE is one-from-one here at Musselburgh, having beaten My Girl Maggie by a narrow margin with 10-1 on his back. Adam Nicol's four-year-old returns to the track having gone down by just a neck behind a talented sort in Greengage at Ayr, and Billy Garritty's reduced his burden to just 9-5.
