Sunday's ITV Racing Tips

Race 1 - Carnarvon Stakes Tips

REPARTEE looked green and unfurnished last season, and still managed to secure some good results in races like the Gimcrack and the Weatherby's 2-Y-O Stakes. I'm really excited to see what this son of Invincible Spirit will achieve during 2020, and 11/4 is too tempting a price to turn down.

Race 2 - Empress Fillies Stakes Tips

Time Scale won really well on her second start and deservedly leads the betting. At the prices, though, I would rather side with CONCESSIONS, who shaped really nicely in seeing off an odds-on shot of Mark Johnston's on debut.

Richard Hannon's charge will be dropping back in trip here, but her proven stamina will come in handy on the uphill run to the line.

Race 3 - Midsummer Stakes Tips

ACCIDENTAL AGENT went into the Queen Anne Stakes at Ascot as a 100/1 shot, but ran well beyond his odds by staying on to place fifth. Eve Johnson Houghton's charge looked more settled in the stalls after a winter gelding operation, and won his only Group One on fast ground conditions in 2018.

Race 4 - Betway Handicap Tips

There's little separating the top three in the market here, and my preference is for BUHTURI. Charlie Hills' charge maintained a decent level of form at two, and ran a great race on his reappearance on soft ground at Haydock.

Buhturi's only previous win came on quick ground and he's a full sibling to dual-Listed winner Ibn Malik, so he should be capable of progressing beyond his current mark.

Race 5 - Bombardier Handicap Tips

Another tightly congested handicap, and I fancy an each-way punt on TELL ME ALL, for Luke Morris and Mark Prescott. This big, athletic sort ran ok on his reappearance at Newbury, only fading out of contention in the final furlong. Dropping back to a mile seems sensible, and there's plenty in his breeding to suggest he'll deal with fast ground just fine.

Race 6 - Heed Your Hunch At Betway Handicap Tips

I really like the chances of DESERT ICON here. William Haggas' charge won on his handicap debut last season, and was only beaten a length by Good Birthday off a mark one pound lower than this on his final three-year-old start.

A slow start - during a meeting where hardly anyone made up any ground from off the pace - gave Desert Icon little-to-no chance of winning on his reappearance. Conditions should be more favourable on Sunday and first-time cheek-pieces could make a big difference.

Race 7 - Greenlands Stakes Tips

Read my preview of the Greenlands Stakes and find out which runner I fancy will continue his superb record at the Curragh.

Race 8 - Fred Archer Stakes Tips

Frankie Dettori will be travelling to Newmarket just to ride FIRST IN LINE on Sunday, and John Gosden's colt is clearly the one to beat.

Having ended last season with a fine victory under top-weight in a lucrative handicap at Chelmsford, Dettori's mount stayed on for third in a high-quality renewal of the Buckhounds Stakes during the Guineas Festival.

First In Line has proven form here at Newmarket and should be able to perform to his best on quicker ground.

Race 9 - Pretty Polly Stakes

Check out my full preview of the Pretty Polly Stakes to see whether I'm for or against the odds-on favourite, Magical.
