The ITV Racing team will pitch up at Newbury on Friday, ready to capture the best of the action on day one of the Coral Gold Cup meeting. Two Grade Twos feature on Friday's card at Newbury, along with a few decent handicaps and a Listed juvenile hurdle.

Here are my best betting tips for Newbury on Friday.

ITV Racing Tips - Friday 29th November

1:20pm Newbury - Fillies' Juvenile Hurdle Tips

I'm surprised to see that ITV hasn't picked up this Listed race, as it proves to be a fascinating contest. Miss Altea Blue makes her debut for Paul Nicholls and the form of her last two hurdles starts in France has worked out well. The favourite's former trainer, Noel George is represented by Midnight Exit, who comfortably saw off Matwana when making her British debut at Hereford.

James Owen is often the man to side with in the juvenile division and I like the chances of AMBIENTE AMIGO (7/2). Listed placed on the flat, Sam Twiston-Davies' mount survived a scare or two on her hurdles debut at Newcastle, but won cosily in the end once she picked her way through the traffic.

Ambiente Amigo has always been a keen going sort. Owen tried a hood at Newcastle, which only seemed to pester her early on. I'm pleased to see that the hood is off for this assignment and stablemate Opec should ensure there's plenty of speed for this strong stayer to aim at.

2:30pm Newbury - Handicap Chase Tips

After a couple of runs over two miles to sharpen him up, I'm hoping to see SCARFACE (8/1) produce an improved display on Friday.

Joe Tizzard's eight-year-old found his groove after three starts last term, winning three times and finishing second to Kotmask in the space of four outings - a run which included a victory in the Grade Three Premier Handicap Chase at Sandown on Imperial Cup day.

Scarface looked outpaced on his return at Cheltenham and behind stablemate JPR One in the Haldon Gold Cup last time out. Stepping back up in trip will suit Brendan Powell's mount. Joe Tizzard's horses remain in excellent form and Scarface has dropped back down to a handy mark.

3:05pm Newbury - Long Distance Hurdle Tips

Just the four runners in this Grade Two and I don't fancy backing any of them.

3:40pm Newbury - Handicap Hurdle Tips

This represents a fairly steep step up in class for favourite Woodie Flash, so I'll take him on with MADAKET (7/1) for the thoroughly in-form combination of Hobbs and White.

Michael Nolan's mount won nicely on his reappearance at Chepstow last term, before following up with an emphatic heavy-ground triumph at Wincaton in March. Madaket could then only finish sixth on his final outing of the season here at Newbury, but that run came just two weeks after his monster effort at Wincanton and the ground was unfavourably good. Conditions should suit Hobbs and White's six-year-old on Friday and Madaket remains well-treated.
