ITV Racing will be showing ten races live on Good Friday, with the bulk of the action coming from All-Weather Finals Day at Newcastle.

To be honest, the all-weather isn't my cup of tea. I follow the National Hunt action so religiously through the winter, I take very little notice of the all-weather form. Finals day does often throw up an excellent horse or two, but now that all of the races have been turned into handicaps, my interest in this meeting has waned even further.

Nevertheless, there are a few horses that catch my eye in Friday's ITV races. Here are my best ITV Racing bets.

ITV Racing Tips - Friday 18th April

1:15pm Newcastle - Burradon Stakes Tips

Royal Playwright brings by far the strongest juvenile form into this Listed race, but I'm happy to chance by arm with BOWMARK (9/2), who made a lasting impression when scoring on his racecourse debut at Kempton.

John and Thady Gosden's newcomer was sent off as the 5/1 fourth-favourite that day and travelled nicely behind the pacesetters throughout. Kieran Shoemark angled his mount out in the straight and asked him to open up, and Bowmark did just that, surging five lengths clear of the chasing pack in the final furlong.

Bowmark received an opening RPR of 91 for that debut performance and the Gosdens rewarded their colt with an entry in the Dante. This son of Kingman will see out longer trips in time, but should be well suited by the stiff mile at Newcastle.

3:00pm Newcastle - Championships Mile Handicap Tips

In this extremely competitive eight-furlong final, I'm going to take a chance on APIARIST (18/1) at an each-way price. Kevin Ryan's four-year-old was a bit of a nearly horse on turf, but since switching to the all-weather, he's won three of his five starts.

Apiarist won over this course-and-distance in December, before following up at Chelmsford and Southwell in the early months of the New Year. Tom Eaves' mount returns to the tapeta after a decent effort in the Lincoln at Doncaster and he'll carry a lovely racing weight into this cracking contest.

3:35pm Newcastle - BetUK All-Weather Sprint Handicap Tips

Richard Fahey has fitted first-time blinkers to GOLDEN MIND (18/1), who should be much happier over this shorter trip, having struggled over seven furlongs on his last two starts.

On his first start after a mid-season gelding operation, Golden Mind pushed the talented Telemark close off this mark during the St Leger Festival. Oisin Orr's mount finished a decent fifth as the outsider in the Golden Rose Stakes over this course-and-distance, before going on to defeat another of today's rivals, Heathcliff over six furlongs at Kempton in February.

Golden Mind has now won two of his three starts over six furlongs and a wide draw is often advantageous on the sprint track at Newcastle. He's worth chancing at a tasty price.

4:00pm Newcastle - Easter Classic Middle Distance Handicap Tips

The first and third from the 2025 Winter Oaks will take on the colts and geldings in Friday's Easter Classic. Charlotte's Web kicked clear on the bend and held on to land that valuable contest. POWER OF DESTINY (14/1) was held up by Richard Kingscote and made up stacks of late ground to finish just a short-neck behind the winner.

Power Of Destiny was well-regarded by Sir Michael Stoute and won well on her stable debut for Ralph Beckett at Kempton in November. Rossa Ryan's mount was a little disappointing on her only previous start against the boys, but that came at Listed level and Power Of Destiny looks well-treated off this revised mark of 94.
