Friday's coverage begins at Haydock, where ROGUE SPIRIT could prove hard to beat in the opening nursery handicap.
Tom Clover's charge secured some strong results over five furlongs earlier in the season, winning twice while also finishing a neck-second to Chateau and a close third in the Weatherby's Super Sprint. Six furlongs at York didn't suit, so dropping back to the minimum distance seems wise and Connor Planas' seven-pound claimer leaves Rogue Spirit looking well-treated.
Race 2 - Rosemary Stakes Tips
18+ only. Gamble responsibly. Ts and Cs apply
Three-year-olds have won 25 of the 30 renewals of this Listed contest, so it's no surprise to see this betting heat being dominated by the younger age group. Crystal Caprice is the favourite as she looks to seal a four-timer. Yet, with Roger Varian in such good form - returning 10 winners from his last 19 runners - I'm inclined to give another chance to ZANBAQ.
Despite drifting before the off, Varian's filly ran a screamer in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot, losing out to Heredia by just a length. Zanbaq was then backed into 7/4 favouritism for the Valiant Stakes at Ascot last time out, but Jim Crowley found himself boxed in on the rail as he tried to make his challenge and once the favourite found open air, the race was over. Crowley's mount drops back down in class today and I expect Zanbaq to run really well.

I haven't got a strong opinion here. I might have a small each-way bet on AMAYSMONT, who has run well here at Haydock Park racecourse in the past and won't mind the extra cut in the ground. It'll only be a very small each-way punt, though.
Race 4 - Princess Royal Stakes Tips
18+ only. T&Cs apply. Gamble responsibly.
Sea Silk Road narrowly got the better of ETERNAL PEARL when they met in the Height Of Fashion Stakes earlier in the season. Sea Silk Road hasn't won since then, narrowly losing out to future Irish Oaks winner, Magical Lagoon in the Ribblesdale before finishing fourth in a Group Two contest out in France.
In contrast, Eternal Pearl has racked up a hat-trick. Charlie Appleby's filly bolted up in a maiden at Kempton, won a decent renewal of the Aphrodite Stakes and dominated the Prix Minerve at Deauville on her most recent start.
That Group Three triumph means Eternal Pearl has to give the favourite a couple of pounds on Friday, but I still think there's every chance that she'll reverse the Height Of Fashion form.
Race 5 - Haldane Fisher Handicap Tips
18+ only. T&Cs apply. Stay in Control. Gamble Responsibly. Think! About your choices. Call Gambling Help on 1800 858 858 or visit www.gamblinghelponline.org.au.
The three three-year-olds sitting atop the market here all come into this race on the back of fairly lengthy absences. If they're not 100% ready to roll, 14 furlongs on soft ground around Haydock will certainly catch them out.
DOUBLE CHERRY returns to Haydock on the back of a solid effort in the Lavazza Handicap at Ascot, where he finished fourth behind the impressive winner, La Yakel. Tom Ward's charge didn't run badly in the bet365 handicap held over course-and-distance in July and Sean Levey will be itching to get back into the winners' enclosure, following the false-positive debacle that saw him miss the Racing League finale.
Race 6 - Rockfel Stakes Tips
18+ only. T&Cs apply. Stay in Control. Gamble Responsibly. Think! About your choices. Call Gambling Help on 1800 858 858 or visit www.gamblinghelponline.org.au.
Despite the impressive manner of her debut victory at Newmarket racecourse in July, I'm more inclined to take Commissioning on at 7/4 than side with the favourite. There are plenty of viable alternatives stacked up behind Commissioning in the market, including RAGE OF BAMBY, who bolted up under a penalty in a maiden at Leicester two weeks ago.
Eve Johnson Houghton's filly went into that seven-furlong contest on the back of a narrow win over six at Newbury, where Rage Of Bamby beat Dandy Alys - now rated 95 - by a short-head. Charlie Bishop took the favourite straight to the front at Leicester and Rage Of Bamby dominated throughout, surging clear in the closing stages to win by an easy four lengths.
There were four races staged over seven furlongs that day and Rage Of Bamby's win was comfortably the quickest - some achievement, considering she made her own running and was carrying three pounds more than the other three winners. Johnson Houghton is no stranger to success in big juvenile races and it seems she has another talented two-year-old on her hands.
