ITV Racing viewers have eight excellent races to enjoy on Saturday afternoon. The Cambridgeshire Meeting wraps up at Newmarket, where two Group Ones feature on the card. We'll also head back up to Haydock for a couple of valuable handicaps and over to the Curragh, where both the Beresford Stakes and Goffs Million will be shown live on ITV.

ITV Racing Tips - Saturday 24th September

Race 1 - Beresford Stakes Tips

ADELAIDE RIVER and Pivotal Trigger cut each other's throats up-front in the Prix des Chenes, setting the race up perfectly for Kubrick, who swept home from the rear to win that Group Three.

Despite coming under pressure early that day, Adelaide River galloped on relentlessly, grinding Pivotal Trigger into submission. I'm sure Wayne Lordan will ride this son of Australia aggressively, knowing he has the stamina and the appetite for this trip. With no obvious closers behind Adelaide River in the market, the favourite could be very difficult to pass.

Race 2 - Royal Lodge Stakes Tips

With both Adelaide River and Continuous running in the Beresford, Aidan O'Brien sends Greenland over to Newmarket for the Royal Lodge. This burly son of Saxon Warrior looks like a solid middle-distance horse in the making, and I fancy he'll be much better as a three-year-old next season.

FLYING HONOURS is the obvious selection here. Charlie Appleby's charge has bolted up on his last two starts, beating Stormbuster - who won a valuable conditions race at Newbury by five lengths earlier this week - by almost six lengths in the Listed Stonehenge Stakes at Salisbury last month. This Group Two is Flying Honours' for the taking.

Race 3 - Old Boston Handicap Tips

Having finished second on both of his first two starts this season, HARROW'S campaign fell apart. Andrew Balding's charge ran a stinker in the Dee Stakes, finished fifth of sixth in the Listed Heron Stakes at Sandown, and 25th of 30 in the Britannia at Royal Ascot.

Harrow was given the cruelest cut of all and ran an encouraging race on his comeback at Doncaster earlier this month, staying on well to place third over seven furlongs. Balding's three-year-old is certainly well-treated off his current mark and should enjoy this step back up to a mile.

Despite what could be a tricky draw in stall one, COUNT D'ORSAY could have a big say in this handicap sprint. Tim Easterby's charge has been waiting for soft ground all season long. Count D'Orsay finally got just that in the Portland Handicap at Doncaster and duly ran his best race of the season, finishing a close third behind Chipstead.

David Allen's mount will run off the same mark today and Count D'Orsay has plenty of course form to back up his already strong claims.
