Six excellent races will be shown live on ITV Racing on Saturday afternoon, with the historic Cambridgeshire handicap closing the curtain on our coverage. Two prestigious Group One races will also take place at Newmarket, with Chester and Haydock chipping in with a race apiece.

Race 1 - Royal Lodge Stakes Tips

The top three in the betting all bring strong pattern-race form to the table, but I'm keen to back GHOSTWRITER following an impressive performance at Ascot earlier this month.

Clive Cox's charge carried a penalty into that novice race, having won nicely on debut at Newmarket. Despite being a little keen in the early stages, Ghostwriter saw the race out strongly from the front, setting an impressive time in the process. Stepping up to a mile will only bring about further improvement and this colt is bred to be smart.

Race 2 - Watergate Cup Handicap Tips

Zealandia 2:05pm Chester Watergate Cup Handicap (Class 2) 2m2½fGET 13/2 HERE

ZEALANDIA showed his potential as a stayer at Goodwood last time out, where Ian Williams' six-year-old saw off plenty of more proven stayers to win well over 14 furlongs.

David Probert's mount went close here at Chester earlier in the season, so we know he goes well at this unique venue, and soft ground will be ideal for this improving six-year-old.

Race 3 - Cheveley Park Stakes Tips

Four days ago, wealthy Qatari owners Wathnan Racing purchased JASNA'S SECRET, anticipating a big run in this Group One. Christophe Soumillon must be expecting a huge performance too, considering he's probably giving up some big rides on day one of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe meeting in making the trip to Newmarket.

Jasna's Secret has looked hugely impressive on her two outings thus far, picking up a £142k prize at Deauville last time out without breaking much of a sweat. Soumillon is no stranger to success at this meeting, having won the Middle Park on Perfect Power two years ago, and the Lerner's wouldn't have confirmed Jasna's Secret if they didn't think this talented filly would be able to handle quicker ground.

Race 4 - Dash For Cash Handicap Tips

Arecibo E/W2:40pm Haydock cavani.co.uk The Dapper Dash For Cash Handicap (Class 2) 5fGET 12/1 HERE

The old boy, ARECIBO is worth a second-look in this open handicap, considering this former Group One runner-up has dropped down to an appealing mark of 88.

Robert Cowell's eight-year-old went very close on his penultimate start here at Haydock, finishing just a length behind Raasel off a four-pound higher mark. One of the best performances of Arecibo's career came on soft ground and he's handicapped well enough to challenge.

Race 5 - Middle Park Stakes Tips

River Tiber3:00pm Newmarket Juddmonte Middle Park Stakes (Group 1) 6fGET 2/1 HERE

I'm not sure whether Vandeek will be particularly comfortable on quick ground, so I'm going to take the market leader on with RIVER TIBER, who kept on well to finish third behind the favourite in the Prix Morny.

The Morny was somewhat of an after-thought for Aidan O'Brien, who had planned on running his Coventry Stakes winner in the Phoenix Stakes, before a small setback ruled River Tiber out of that Group One. Taking that injury blip into account, Ryan Moore and O'Brien will have been delighted with that run at Deauville and I'll be expecting the best version of River Tiber to show up at Newmarket on Saturday.
