Viewers are in for a stunning afternoon of action at Longchamp on Sunday. The red carpet will be rolled out for Enable again, as she looks for a historic third win in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

Along with the Arc, there are five further Group Ones to enjoy, so let's jump straight into some tips!

2020 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe Day - Longchamp Tips

Race 1 - Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere Tips

ST MARK'S BASILICA has been campaigned at a high level this term. Aidan O'Brien's colt has finished third and fifth in two Group Ones, either side of a comfortable maiden victory over six furlongs at the Curragh.

I'm usually inclined to swerve O'Brien runners when the ground is very testing. However, St Mark's Basilica is French-bred, by Siyouni, and seemed to enjoy soft ground when securing his only win so far. He's the best horse in this race, and I expect his class to prevail in Sunday's opener.

Race 2 - Prix Marcel Boussac Tips

Pretty Gorgeous brings the best form to the table, but I'd rather side with TIGER TANAKA at an each-way price.

Charley Rossi's juvenile has done nothing but improve during his prolific campaign. Tiger Tanaka has won five of her six starts, with her only defeat coming in the six-furlong Robert Papin, where she was only beaten half-a-length.

Mlle Marcialis' mount powered clear on heavy ground to win the Prix Francois Boutin last time out. This uncomplicated filly has won twice on heavy ground, and won easily over a mile at Marseille in July. If she can improve again, then there's no reason why Tiger Tanaka cannot challenge the market leaders.

Tawkeel and Fancy Blue are clearly huge dangers to ALPINE STAR, but I'm a huge fan of Jessica Harrington's filly, and I think this versatile filly will be very hard to beat.

Alpine Star destroyed her rivals in the Coronation Stakes first time out at Royal Ascot, before going down narrowly to Fancy Blue, having been up on the front-end throughout the entire Prix de Diane. Shane Foley's mount went down to Palace Pier last time out, but there was no disgrace in that performance, it only enhanced her reputation.

Harrington's filly proved that day she could go on heavy ground. Alpine Star remains open to improvement over ten furlongs, and could light up Longchamp with a classy display on Sunday.

Race 5 - Abbaye Tips

Glass Slippers has every chance of retaining the title she won so impressively last year. That being said, MAKE A CHALLENGE was clearly inconvenienced by the draw when he clashed with the favourite in the Flying Five, and I'd love to see Denis Hogan win his first Group One.

Make A Challenge showed incredible progression last season. Hogan's star mas maintained his form this term, winning three Listed races, while also placed in Group Two company.

Make A Challenge was drawn in the widest stall of all in the Flying Five, but still travelled nicely into the race, staying on to place a never nearer fifth. This time, James Doyle's mount has been drawn alongside Glass Slippers, and Hogan's five-year-old has won five of his seven starts on soft ground or worse.

Race 6 - Prix de la Foret Tips

The presence of Earthlight adds a fascinating dimension to the final Group One on the card at Longchamp. Andre Fabre's charge has only lost so far during his career so far, and won comfortably on his first start over this trip in the Prix du Pin on Trials Day.

The favourite could simply be too good for his rivals. Yet, I don't think he's really progressed this season. Earthlight is in with two seven-furlong specialists here, in the form of ONE MASTER and Safe Voyage, and I fancy William Haggas' mare could land a hat-trick of Foret wins in Sunday's closer.

One Master went down to Safe Voyage when the clashed at York in August. John Quinn's front-runner got the run of the race that day, whereas One Master has to fight through a wall of runners from her position at the rear.

One Master has produced two excellent displays to win this race in 2018 and 19. Pierre-Charles Boudot was in the saddle for both of those victories, and he'll relish the chance to help One Master become the first three-time winner of his historic race.
