Three Listed races will be run across Goodwood and Haydock on Friday

Following on from Sandown's excellent card on Thursday evening, three Listed races will take place on Friday afternoon. Goodwood stages both the Height Of Fashion and the Cocket Hat Stakes, with the Cecil Frail Stakes taking place at Haydock.

Here are our free racing tips at Goodwood and Haydock.

Goodwood Tips - Friday 26th May

Race 3 - Height Of Fashion Stakes Tips

Soul Sister bounced back from a dismal reappearance run at Newbury with a fine victory in the Musidora Stakes last week and I wouldn't be surprised to see stablemate INNER SPACE achieve a similar feat.

I've got no idea why the Gosden's dropped Inner Space back to seven furlongs for the Nell Gwyn. This daughter of Journey shaped like a middle-distance horse when winning over a mile at Kempton last season, so I wasn't surprised to see Rab Havlin's mount struggle in that 1000 Guineas trial. John and Thady Gosden's horses are going much better at the moment and Inner Space will be happier over this 10-furlong trip.

Race 5 - Cocked Hat Stakes Tips

Those who've raced this season don't bring a particularly high level of form to the table, so I'm happy to take a chance on the returning BATEMANS BAY, who impressed during his juvenile campaign.

Ralph Beckett's colt finished fifth behind Nostrum on debut at Sandown, before opening his account with an easy maiden win at Haydock. Batemans Bay plugged on well to finish fourth in the Zetland Stakes on his final outing, doing his best work in the final furlong of that mile-and-a-quarter contest.

We've seen plenty of New Bay's progeny improve with age and his dam is by Galileo, suggesting that Batemans Bay should be even better at three than he was as a two-year-old.

Haydock Tips - Friday 25th May

Race 3 - Cecil Frail Stakes Tips

Gale Force Maya carries a penalty for her Listed success last autumn and the market leader could struggle to give three pounds to the younger, progressive GET AHEAD.

Clive Cox's filly thrashed Silky Wilkie and another of today's rivals, Kape Moss when winning a sprint handicap on fast ground at Goodwood last season. Having pushed her way through traffic to place third behind Happy Romance on her reappearance at Bath, Get Ahead was last seen staying on to finish a four-length sixth behind Vadream in the Palace House Stakes.

Get Ahead is by Showcasing, who was a six-furlong specialist. She's a full-sibling to former Mill Reef Stakes winner Alkumait and a half-sister to 2000 Guineas winner Chaldean. There's plenty to suggest that Get Ahead will be even more effective over this longer trip and this will be the first time she's run on good ground since that excellent win at Goodwood last July.
