Sandown's card on Saturday is headlined by the Tolworth Hurdle. This two-mile Grade One has been won by many great horses down the years, with the names of Desert Orchid, French Holly and Marcel shining on the honours boards at Sandown Park.

We've taken a look through the latest odds for Saturday's renewal, and picked out our best betting tips.

There looks to be plenty of possible pacemakers entered up in Saturday's Tolworth.

Do Your Job made the running when winning at Ayr in October, and tried to make all in a Listed race at Haydock, where he eventually finished third. Fifty Ball also enjoyed success when setting his own fractions last time out, but could be a little outclassed jumping up into Grade One company.

Shakem Up'Arry will want to turn this into a strong test of stamina. Smurphy Enki and Adrimel look strong stayers in the making, and both of Galice Macalo's victories came when allowed to bowl along at the front.

With a strong pace to aim at, I expect Third Time Lucki to be given a patient ride, and he brings the strongest form into this Grade One. I do worry about the ground with Dan Skelton's charge though, as all his wins have come on good-to-soft.

METIER made all to win at Ascot the last day. When Tile Tapper and Gispy De Choisel loomed up on the leader's shoulder to begin their challenges, Sean Bowen's mount found an eye-catching turn of pace, and quickly put the race to bed.

The time Metier set that day was less than half-a-second than what Buzz managed when winning the a good-quality handicap later on the card. Bowen tried to ride Metier patiently on his hurdles debut at Newton Abbot, but was forced to go forward when he realised they were going far too slow, and Metier's jumping improved the quicker he went.

Fry's five-year-old has won on heavy ground this season, and around a right-handed track. I'd like to see Bowen try to bide his time behind the leaders, and I have every confidence Metier will be able to quicken away from his rivals as they enter the home straight.

Verdict

I've been so impressed with what I've seen of Metier this season. Harry Fry's charge has plenty going in his favour, and I think he could be the most talented horse in this Grade One.
