Yasuda Kinen 2020 Tips - Can Almond Eye show why she is the world's best?

The 2020 Yasuda Kinen is full of Japan's elite thoroughbreds, taking place over the mile at Tokyo.

Almond Eye will start a short priced favourite off the back of a demoliton job in the Victoria Mile while rival Indy Champ is looking to go back-to-back.

Don't forget about Danon Premium, a previous runner-up to Almond Eye over further, but is a Group One winner over the mile.

Yasuda Kinen Best Bet - Almond Eye

The queen herself, the world's best racehorse and quite arguably one of the best we have ever seen.

The seven-time Group One winner is coming back to the Yasuda to take vengence on last years defeat behind rival Indy Champ.

The fact that they are keeping her to the mile looks a big plus, coming off one of the most arrogant wins you will see on a racetrack in the Victoria Mile (May 17).

Last year she came to this race off the back of an incredible win in the Dubai Turf, btut has been kept in Japan to specifically target their feature events.

Looking over the form over a mile, she is simply elite - Oka Sho, Victoria Mile and Shinzan Kinen wins, all beating high class animals.

With more luck in running than what she faced last year, expect the queen to gain Group One number eight.

Yasuda Kinen Value Bet - Danon Premium

Danon Premium is one of Japan's elite horses and a previous runner-up to Almond Eye in the Tenno Sho (Autumn).

He is at his best over 2000m, beating the likes of Lys Graciuex and Wagnerian at Group Two level, but is already a Group One winner over the mile (back in 2017).

A second placing to Indy Champ in last year's Mile Championship ties him in well into this race, while the Queen Elizabeth form from Australia at his latest run brings in the European form behind Adeyybb.

The market has underestimated his chances significantly with Japan's elite form aroud him, he is more of a single figure hope.
